THE
LITTLE PRINCE AND THE SNAKE.
Once upon a time in the middle of the world there was
a big kingdom, the kingdom of Valhalla there
lived a wise and kind Queen who was called Freydis. The people who lived there
were happy because they never had problems and always celebrated that the queen
was reigning in that place. However, the queen herself was sad and worried
because a devilish snake had entered his son’s body by a damn that had thrown
her husband, the previous king.
When the Prince Oslow grew up, he thought, “It is
because of me that my mother worried when I was a child." Moreover, one
day, he left the palace when he was 18 years old. Wandering, he came to another
kingdom. He found a desolate temple and started living there without food and a
bed to sleep.
The King of that kingdom was cruel and he did not have
a wife because she died when her daughter born. Nevertheless, he had a kind and
beautiful daughter. The King was unhappy with his daughter because that girl
was always ridiculing her father’s hard work. The King thought, “She is always
talking to me low of my hard work. I must marry her to a beggar. Then she will
know what hard work is."
Therefore, when the beggar Prince Oslow came to beg
for food in the Palace, the cruel King Bjorn forced him to marry his daughter Birka.
The Prince Oslow and his new bride Birka started for the desolate temple. On
their way, they stopped to take rest. The Princess Birka went around in search
of food, while her husband went to sleep because he had a tired night
collecting wood.
When the Princess Birka came back, she was shocked to
see a snake sitting on her husband’s mouth. On a mount nearby sat another snake
that observed the kingdom of Valhalla all the time. They were talking among
themselves. “Why do not you leave the body of the Prince Oslow? He is so kind
and gentle," said the snake sitting on the mound. “You too are evil! You
attack passers-by. You should not be telling me what to do," replied the
snake sitting on the mouth of the Prince Oslow.
The Princess Birka killed both the snakes with all her
courage and ended with the Jinx that had tormented the Prince for so many years.
When her husband woke up, she told him about the two snakes. The Prince was
happy. Then he told her who he really was and why he was wandering in her
father´s kingdom. She never thought that her husband was a beautiful prince.
They set off to the Prince’s Oslow´s palace. The Queen Freydis was delighted to
see his son. When the Queen learned that
the devilish snake was killed, his joy knew no bounds. The Prince and the
Princess Birka lived happily for a long time. After few years, the Kingdom
celebrated the day on which the Royal couple gave birth to twins, one boy
called Oden and one girl called Valquiria.
They formed a royal family in the great palace and
they all lived happily ever after.

ResponderEliminarCordial Greeting companion Luisa
I read your story and really transported me to a magical world, it has many characteristics of traditional stories or fairy tale but at the same time it has mystery that catches the reader. I congratulate you on the writing of your story

Dear Luisa.
ResponderEliminarAfter reading the references and your Story, I found something that caught my attention, it is from: "How to Write a Short Story from Start to Finish" from Bunting, and one of the points is
- Write the Perfect First Line.
And I think your first line is perfect because it leads me to dream with: Once upon a time... and makes me imagine a big kingdom in the middle of the world; for that reason, your first line is perfect to me.
From this video: "How to write descriptively" I can rescue that says: we read to be entertained, to think, to feel, to be absorbed for a while, we forget who we are. And your story achieved that with me.
So I liked your story, thanks for sharing your imagination with us.
Regards!
Wow, snakes? I smell the alien reptilian race that has enslaved us for so many years. I had it with them. Why don't the Greys do something about it?
